FTN95 comes with a set of plug-ins that allow you to develop Fortran applications using Visual Studio. You can edit, compile and debug both Win32 and .NET application using the Visual Studio plug-ins. They offer an alternative to using Plato, our native IDE. To use FTN95 with Visual Studio you must have a full version of Visual Studio and not an Express product. For example, you cannot install the plug-ins into Visual C# Express.
If you would like to use FTN95 with-in Visual Studio but do not own Visual Studio then you can use FTN95 Express. This contains a copy of the Visual Studio IDE and will allow you to edit, compile and debug as if in Visual Studio.
