Using named bookmarks

For unnamed bookmarks see Editing facilities.

Named bookmarks can be used in a project or when there is no project open. Within a project they are stored with the project data otherwise they are stored in Plato3.ini.

Select Named Bookmarks from the main Tools menu to show the Bookmarks dialog. If you want to create a new bookmark then select the relevant line before opening the dialog.

To create a new bookmark, click on the New button and enter its name into the small edit box that appears in the Name column. The line number and file name are supplied automatically.

To go to a bookmark, select the bookmark from the Name column and then click on the Go to button (you can also use the Goto dialog to go to a named bookmark).

To delete a bookmark, select the bookmark from the Name column and then click on the Delete button.

To change the name of a bookmark, click on its name twice (in the usual manner for a list view) and use the small edit box that appears.

The Close button closes the dialog. This does not undo any changes that you have made.

This dialog can be resized.

To create a new bookmark you can also use the popup menu and select Toggle Named Bookmark. This uses to above dialog but implements New and Close automatically.
